Ellie Movin On Up

The video is of Ellie at "New School" in a floor sitter that was built at her amazing school out of tri-wall and attached to a motorized scooter. This was then operated by the switch you can see in her lap. Ellie had to continuously press the switch to make it go forward. This video is of the second attempt. It goes very slowly so not much sense of movement. But she did get the whole concept of press the switch and make it go. Go Ellie!

Did you know that Ellie and I have the same birthday? I just realized that!

Hope you're getting all the medical jiu-jitsu sorted. Best of luck.

How great for Ellie! What an awesome school she goes to.
She must have been so happy to be able to move herself around (even if she was not going quite fast enough to make her beautiful hair blow in the wind.)
Here's to Ellie, and the great school that cares so much! Cheers!

That is so cool! Go Ellie! She is so cute.

The coolest thing about that (to me) is that kids this age play and move on the ground. When you have a kid in a wheelchair, even a power one, they are sitting up so much higher than everyone else and it is so hard to get in on the floor action. I need to build one of these for D so he can play with the kids on the floor!

GO, ELLIE, GO!

Wow, I am so impressed with Ellie's teacher's creativity! What an awesome mode of mobility for sweet Ellie. She looks so happy in it too! I bet all the other kids are jealous :-). That precious girl of yours makes me smile!

Cool! I, too, like the idea that it's close to the ground.
