Family days

We have been really enjoying our Saturdays in this bug less low humidity Spring. Spring lasts for just over a nanosecond in New England before the high heat, high humidity hits to suffocate all enthusiasm in humans. It has just the opposite effect on the bugs who multiply their numbers exponentially just to torture us poor bipeds all the more. Needless to say, not much time for blogging as we are trying to get in our outside time as much as possible. These pics were of our adventure to Look Out Farm two weeks ago.

Ellie especially liked the pig and she had her first train ride (and the train even had a wheelchair lift that the conductor was very excited to use). She loved seeing all the animals and I loved it that they were very well kept and healthy and friendly. They all came over to see Ellie and you could see them curtain twitching between their fences to see what all the fuss was about. A regular animal farm indeed. As you can see the orchards are very beautiful this Spring.

Beautiful photos. New England doesn't sound like too much fun in the summer. I hate bugs!

Isn't look out farm fun?

My dad actually built all the barns there!

Haven't been in a while, I'll have to make the trek soon though!

Has Ellie been to the southwick zoo yet? A very good friend of mine is the bird handler there. Personally I can't wait to take Arianna :)

Oh, what fun! I love pigs! I believe Jack would love something like that. How cool that the train had a ramp! I love reading about your outings -- very inspiring -- I can't wait till life settles and we're doing the same. Thanks for shaing :)

Jacqui - it's soo bad (the bugs) that you can't go out between 4 and 6pm unless you want to get covered in mosquito bites. We are planning to get a bat house as soon as possible because they eat so many mosies. New England is best in the Fall and Spring or in summer but only if you live by the ocean. Sigh. ;-)

He's My Son - Welcome. Great to have you here and thanks for the compliment!

Jennifer - that is sooo cool about your dad. Look Out is so beautiful. We have not tried that zoo but I will add it to the list.

Angela - I can't wait to see the pics when you do! Loads of hugs and wishing you all well and together and on fun outings!
